Location:
Tishomingo County is located halfway between I-55 at Memphis and I-65 at Huntsville with four-lane connections to both. Tishomingo County received no damage from Hurricane Katrina and is not in a hurricane or other hazard area.
Port Facilities:
Full-service port facilities with crane capacity of up to 300 tons are available. Located at the intersection of the Tennessee River and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, Yellow Creek Port is the water, rail, ∧ highway shipping and receiving point for steel for a three state area.
Education:
Tishomingo County has a unified school system rated in the top 10% in the state. The average student scores above the national average on the ACT. 100% of students grades 7 thru 9 and 81% of students grades 10 thru 12 are enrolled in technology preparation programs.

Available Labor & Job Training:
Our region is one of the few in the USA with available trained manufacturing labor. A recent workforce study by Site Selection Group of Dallas found 4,600 underemployed workers in the area. Recreation & Shopping:
With eight marinas, 50,000 acres of water surface, the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, several private residential and retirement resorts, three state parks, one national park, three museums, thousands of acres of prime game preserves, hundreds of homes overlooking the pristine waters of Pickwick Lake and Bay Springs Lake, a cluster of outlet and import stores, and close proximity to urban areas, a variety of recreational and shopping opportunities are available to residents.
